  • Subscription
  • How does my subscription work?

Our subscription makes it super easy for you to get contact lenses delivered right to your door—right when you need them.

If you’re a new customer, you’ll pay just $1 (plus any applicable sales tax) for your first 15 pairs of Hubble contact lenses. Upon signing up, you will pick your preferred refill cadence – the frequency with which you’d like to receive more contacts. Set it for every 4 weeks, 6, weeks, 8 weeks—whatever works for you. After that, we’ll pack, prep and ship fresh daily contacts based on your timing preferences.

We charge your card on file each time your lenses are shipped, and you can cancel your subscription any time— right up until we ship your lenses and charge your card for the month.

I don't wear contact lenses every day. Can I change the frequency of my shipments?

Yes! We designed our Member Portal to allow YOU to easily manage your delivery cadence. Get them every month, every six weeks, or whatever works for you. You can even select a specific date when you’d like us to ship your contacts. When we say personalized just for you, we mean it.

Will my subscription just stop when my prescription expires?

It depends. If you would like to renew your prescription online, we can refer you to an online vision test. We also may reach out to your eye care provider, which will help us determine whether we can continue your subscription. In addition, you can also provide us with a copy of your updated prescription or reach out to us at help@hubblecontacts.com.

If you do not provide us with a copy of your prescription, there is a chance that you may order and receive contact lenses other than those you were prescribed.

    What is your return policy?

Love it or we’ll cover it—that’s us looking out for you! You can return any unopened boxes of contact lenses or frames, for any reason, within 14 days of receipt to receive a full refund.

Additionally, you may exchange your contact lenses or glasses at no cost within 14 days of receipt if you have opened the box and found that they are different from what you ordered or are defective.

Your return must include all of the contact lens boxes that you received in the shipment. For example, if you signed up to receive three months of contact lenses per order, then your return must include all three months' worth of contact lenses.

The fastest way to initiate your return or exchange is to contact us via chat or phone at +1-844-334-1640 to request a prepaid mailing label. You have 14 days to drop off your return at the shipping carrier before the mailing label is voided.

After the starter pack, when will my regular refill orders ship?

Your regular contacts shipments will ship at least 16 days after your initial $1 starter pack order is placed. It takes us a few days to contact your doctor, so orders placed on Fridays and over the weekend will not ship until the following week.

What happens if my prescription changes?

If your prescription changes, let us know! We’ll communicate with your provider to see if we can update your subscription.

Can I change my subscription? How?

Yes! You are in control. We’ve made it super easy to make changes to your subscription, adjust the frequency of shipments, update your shipping address, and more—all from your Member Portal.

Or, if you need help, contact our team via phone at +1-844-334-1640, chat or by email at help@hubblecontacts.com.

    Can I cancel my subscription?

Aw, we hate to see you go. Remember: you can always delay upcoming shipments or change your delivery cadence fright from your member portal.

Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time. The easiest way to cancel your Hubble Contacts subscription is through your online Member Portal. You can also cancel by chatting with a customer service agent or calling us at +1-844-334-1640. We’re available between 9 AM and 9 PM ET, seven days a week (excluding federal holidays).

  • Shipping
  • Where do you ship?

We currently ship to the U.S. and its territories, including Puerto Rico, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and military APO/DPO/FPO addresses.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

We use USPS Standard Economy Shipping for regular shipments, which generally takes between 5-10 business days. However, shipments to areas outside the continental United States may take longer.

Note that it may take a little longer for your starter pack to arrive because our team contacts your doctor to dot the i’s and cross the t’s with your prescription. We’ll keep you updated via email on the status.

At any time, for any order, customers can see their order status and tracking in our online Member Portal.

What is the cost of shipping?

Our contact lens starter pack includes free shipping. After that, we charge $3.99 for shipping and handling (plus any applicable sales tax) on each contact lens delivery.

All glasses, sunglasses and accessories include free shipping.

Can I change the shipping method once my order has shipped?

No. You cannot modify the shipping method. Please note: we do not offer expedited shipping options.

  • Payment
  • What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards. We also accept FSA or HSA payments (see below).

Do you accept vision care insurance as payment?

Unfortunately, we don't work with insurance providers directly, but you can download your invoices from your Member Portal to apply for reimbursement from your insurance provider.

How do I get a receipt to submit to my vision care insurance provider?

You can download it from your Member Portal, contact us via chat or email us at help@hubblecontacts.com and we'll send you an invoice for your insurance provider.

Can I use my Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA) to pay for my lenses?

Yes! If your FSA or HSA card is affiliated with a major credit card, you can use it to make lens purchases.

Will I be charged sales tax?

We must apply state and local sales taxes to your Hubble subscription payments. The sales tax amount will depend on your current ZIP code and your Hubble subscription plan. You will see the added sales tax at checkout.

  • Finding A Doctor
  • Can Hubble help me find a medical professional to make an appointment for a contact lens fitting?

Yes, our Doctor Locator can match you with a doctor in your area.

As an FYI, if you find a doctor through Hubble, please know that they do not receive any compensation from Hubble and will only prescribe Hubble contact lenses for you if they’re a match for you. Please refer to this page for more information about the doctors in your area.

If I go to one of your recommended doctors, do I have to pay for my appointment?

Yes. Like any doctor visit, you are responsible for the cost of your appointment. However, many of these doctors accept vision insurance (assuming you have appropriate coverage).

  • Prescriptions
  • Do I need a contact lens prescription to place an order?

Yes, all orders require a valid prescription from a doctor, including your name; the date of prescription expiration; the prescriber's name; and, for the lenses themselves, power, base curve, manufacturer, diameter, and material. All parts of your prescription must match the lenses you ordered.

Can I order if I don't have a physical copy of my prescription?

Yes, you can still place an order if you don’t have a copy of your prescription. If you know your prescription info (check the side of your contact lens box for your current Rx) you can provide it to us during the checkout process, along with the name of your eye care provider or clinic. We will reach out to your eye care provider.

If you do not provide us with a copy of your prescription, you may order and receive contact lenses other than those you were prescribed since we rely on info from you and your eye care provider to complete your order.

Can I use a prescription from a doctor outside the U.S.?

At this time, we cannot honor prescriptions from doctors outside the U.S.

What happens if my prescription changes?

If your prescription changes (or even if you entered it incorrectly), feel free to reach out to us. We’ll also connect with your eye care provider to see if we can continue your subscription.

Remember to update your prescription before we send out your next order! Once your package is shipped, you'll need to pay for a replacement box if you later find out you need a new prescription.

  • Order / General
  • How do I place a frames order?

Once you’ve selected your frames, you'll enter your prescription (if you're ordering prescription glasses) and select your preferred lens type. We’ll take it from there— customizing your glasses and shipping them directly to you. There are over 20 styles to choose from—so it may be hard to pick just one!

How are your glasses so affordable?

Hubble cuts out the middleman: we design many of our glasses in-house and sell them directly to consumers (i.e. you). We also have strong partnerships with exceptional manufacturers who can accommodate our priority of keeping prices low and quality high.

Can I order multiple pairs of glasses with different prescriptions?

Yes, absolutely! You can add as many pairs of glasses (and sunglasses) to your cart before checking out.

How long will it take for my glasses to arrive? Can I check the status of my order?

Almost all orders are delivered within 7-14 business days—depending on the complexity of your prescription. Once your order has shipped, you'll be sent a shipping confirmation email with a tracking link. You can also view order status in your member portal.

How do I change/cancel my order?

The best way to change or cancel an order before it’s processed is to call us at +1-844-334-1640 between 9AM and 9PM ET, 7 days a week.

What's the best way to get in contact with your support team?

You can chat with us directly, call us at +1-844-334-1640 between 9AM and 9PM ET 7 days a week or email us at frames@hubblecontacts.com — we’re always here to help! More details can be found on the Contact Us page.

Why is your website asking me to log into my account?

After placing your first order, you will automatically receive an email invitation to activate your account. Activating your account gives you access to our self-service Member Portal where you can track the status of your order, change your subscription settings, update your shipping information, and more!

  • Frames / Lenses
  • What comes with my glasses order?

All our eyeglasses come with the following at no additional cost:

    • High-quality lens coated with anti-reflective, anti-scratch, hydrophobic and oleophobic treatments
    • Tri-fold Hubble Frames case and microfiber lens cloth
    • Sturdy and long-lasting double barrel hinges
    • Free shipping

    Where are Hubble’s glasses made?

Our custom Hubble frames are proudly designed in-house in NYC and hand-assembled in Wisconsin. We custom-cut, polish, and mount lenses into their frames before shipping them directly to you. Our Hubble-approved kids glasses, while not developed in-house, are thoughtfully sourced from a family-owned, top-level manufacturer in the Chicagoland area.

Why do some frames have nose pads and others don't?

Certain frames, often metal ones, require nose pads to distribute weight evenly and ensure that they don’t put unnecessary pressure on your face. Nose pads are easy to adjust; you can do this on your own or with the help of your optician. If your nose pads tear or fall off, your optometrist should be able to replace them. Please don't hesitate to contact Hubble if you need any additional assistance.

What type of lenses do you offer?

For eyeglasses, we offer polycarbonate, 1.67 high-index, and blue light-filtering lenses. For sunglasses, we offer polarized polycarbonate lenses.

Do you offer Anti-Reflective or Anti-Glare coatings?

All of our lenses come with anti-reflective, anti-glare, and anti-scratch coatings at no additional cost.

Do you offer Blue Light glasses?

Yes! We offer the option to add blue light filtering to all of our prescription and non-prescription eyeglasses. What is blue light? It’s a subset of light emitted by computer and phone screens that can contribute to eye strain and headaches. It’s thought that blue light filtering can help reduce these harmful effects.

Do you offer non-prescription or reading glasses?

Yes, we do! After you select your preferred frame, you can select non-prescription or reading glasses during the checkout process.

I need thin lenses with my prescription. Do you offer them?

Yes, we offer 1.67 high-index lenses, which are recommended for anyone with a strong prescription (greater than or equal to +4.0 or -4.0 power). After you select your preferred frame, you can select a 1.67 high-index lens during the checkout process.

What kind of lenses do you use for your sunglasses?

We use polarized polycarbonate lenses. Polarized lenses differ from standard tinted lenses in that they are superior at blocking glare and UV rays. In fact, they actually block 100% UVA and UVB rays!

    Do you offer progressive/multifocal/bifocal lenses?

We do not currently offer progressive, multifocal, or bifocal lenses, but if your doctor has written this prescription for you (a prescription with an ADD power), we can make glasses with either the prescribed reading or distance correction.

You can contact us via chat or email us at frames@hubblecontacts.com to get help, or you can buy the frames only.

    Do you offer prism correction?

Sorry! We do not currently offer prism correction.

I love my Hubble Frame, but it doesn't fit quite right. What should I do?

Most issues can be fixed with a quick adjustment at your local optical shop:

    • The frames are too tight or loose behind your ears
    • The temples are too long or too short
    • The temples are too tight or loose at the side of your face
    • The frames are crooked or slide down your face

If you experience ongoing issues, contact us via chat or email us at frames@hubblecontacts.com for help.

What's the best way to clean my lenses?

You can clean your lenses with warm water and a small drop of mild dish soap. Then, dry with a clean, soft cotton cloth, like the microfiber lens cloth that comes with every eyeglasses or sunglasses purchase. You can also use this Frames by Hubble lens cloth to wipe off light smudges on the regular.

  • Prescriptions
  • Can you fill my prescription glasses?

Depending on the type of lens you select, we can fulfill the following prescriptions: [SEE SITE FOR CHART]

How do I read my prescription?

You can read the tutorial below or get in touch via chat or email us at frames@hubblecontacts.com if you need any help with your prescription.

    OD vs OS Eye:
OD: Stands for “oculus dexter,” which is “right eye” in Latin.
OS: Stands for “oculus sinister,” which is “left eye” in Latin.

    Sphere, Cylinder, Axis:
Sphere (SPH): Sphere indicates how strong your lenses need to be. This will be accompanied by (+) or (-), which indicates whether you're farsighted or nearsighted.

    Cylinder (CYL):
Cylinder indicates the lens power needed to correct astigmatism. If this column is blank, it means you don't have an astigmatism.

    Axis:
The axis number corrects for astigmatism. If this column is blank, it means you don't have an astigmatism.

Add Value: ADD: This is used when you require a prescription for both distance and reading in your glasses or contact lenses. It can be shown as an ADD value with a plus (+) sign with a number or, for certain contact lens brands, a description like "high" or "low." An ADD indicates that you may need progressive or multifocal lenses.

    What is “PD” (pupillary distance)?

PD is the distance between your pupils and is typically measured in millimeters. To ensure your glasses fit correctly, we need a specific PD number. This information will help us ensure the optical center of your lenses is in the correct position.

How do I find my PD?

There are a couple of ways that you can find your PD:

    • You can check your glasses prescription for your PD or call your eye care professional to get the PD if it's not written on your glasses prescription
    • If you have ordered glasses before, you can check your old order's PD

In addition, you can also measure your PD yourself using a mirror and a ruler. Here’s how: place a ruler directly under the center of your left pupil. Then, while looking straight ahead, measure the distance from the center of your left pupil to the center of your right pupil. Repeat for accuracy (average PD is between 57 and 65mm).

If you’re looking for additional information on measuring your pupillary distance, check out our blog post on the topic! If you still have any questions about your PD, feel free to reach out via chat or email us at frames@hubblecontacts.com and we'll be happy to help you.

What if I don't have my prescription?

You can get a glasses prescription from your eye care professional or email us at frames@hubblecontacts.com and we can help you find a doctor who may be able to write you a glasses prescription.

Can I use my contact lens prescription to order glasses?

Unfortunately, you can’t use your contact lens prescription to order glasses — they aren’t a direct 1:1 match.
